Hospice services

The hospice services offered by the Humanist Association Germany in and around Berlin are aimed at critically ill people and those in the last phase of their lives.

Two specialist centres also promote networking in the field of hospice work throughout Berlin.

We always base our work on the humanistic view, accompanying people in an age-appropriate, culturally sensitive and empathetic way. Our hospice services are wide-ranging. They include

• traditional hospice work,
• support for children and young people with life-shortening illnesses from the time the illness is diagnosed and
• intercultural end-of-life care.

In addition to alleviating physical symptoms, we also focus on the social, psychological and spiritual needs of the patients and their relatives. Individual self-determination constitutes the foundation for the work in the outpatient and inpatient hospices of the Humanist Association Germany, Berlin-Brandenburg.
