Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit our website.
We work with so-called ‘cookie-less tracking’. This is a tracking method with which the surfing behaviour of users on the Internet can be analysed and evaluated without the use of cookies.
Our website uses Matomo, an open source web analysis software, to analyse and continuously improve usage. We use Matomo's cookie-less tracking so that no tracking cookies are stored on your end device.
Matomo collects the following information:
- Page accessed
- Abbreviated, anonymised IP address
- Browser and operating system used
- Time spent on the page
- Origin of the visitor (e.g. search engine/direct access)
This data is stored exclusively on our own servers in Germany and is not passed on to third parties. Personal identification is not possible due to the anonymisation of the IP address. As these cookies are absolutely necessary for the provision of our services, no consent is required. Matomo respects the do-not-track setting of your browser if you have activated it.
Further information on how Matomo works can be found here.
On what legal basis do we process your data?
Your data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR (consent) or Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR (legitimate interest).
A chatbot is a computer-based dialogue system that allows you to conduct a conversation with users via text or voice. A chatbot from the company ConRat WebSolutions GmbH, Gartenstraße 4, 37281 Wanfried (Germany), www.chatbot4you.io (hereinafter referred to as ConRat), is integrated on our website.
The communication behaviour of the chatbot is programmed by the Humanistischer Verband Berlin-Brandenburg KdöR. When you contact the chatbot integrated on this page, it saves the communication content. You can delete your communication content manually at any time as long as you have not started a new chat request. All communication content will be deleted after six months at the latest.
ConRat WebSolutions GmbH sets a technically necessary cookie to enable you to make contact via the chat window. An individually generated key is stored in the ConRat cookie, which can be used for unique communication between you and us. It is a session cookie that is only valid during your browser session.
All data processed via the chatbot is transmitted in encrypted form to a data centre in Germany provided by ConRat WebSolutions GmbH. The Humanistischer Verband Berlin-Brandenburg KdöR is responsible for data processing as the website operator.
On what legal basis do we process your data?
Your data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR (consent) and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR (legitimate interest).
Each time you visit our website, our system automatically collects the following data:
- Information about the browser type and version used
- The user's operating system
- The user's internet service provider
- The IP address of the user (in anonymised form)
- Date and time of access
- Websites from which the user accesses our website (referrer)
- Websites that the user accesses via our website
Where is this data stored?
This data is stored in the log files of our system.
Is personal data linked to this information?
No, this data is not stored together with other personal data of the user. The IP addresses of the user or other data that allow the data to be assigned to a user are not affected by this storage.
On what legal basis do we process your data?
Your data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR (consent) and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR (legitimate interest) as well as Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (pre-contractual measures).
We do not store any log files. IP address anonymisation and logging for statistics have already been explained in the Matomo section.
Matomo anonymises IP addresses to ensure the privacy of visitors. This is done by:
- IP masking: Removal of the last parts of the IP address (for example 192.168.xxx.xxx).
- Configuration: The number of bytes to be anonymised can be specified in the settings.
- Real-time anonymisation: The IP is anonymised as soon as it is received and is never saved in full.
These measures ensure that the full IP address is not saved or processed.
Your data will only be passed on in the following cases:
If you have expressly consented (pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR).
For the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, unless there is an overriding legitimate interest on your part (pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR).
If we are legally obliged to disclose data (pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c GDPR).
If it is necessary for the processing of contractual relationships or pre-contractual measures with you (pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR).
